I've got a Bad Ass Beautiful challenge update for y'all today. Over the last 3 days I attempted to abstain from foods with >5 ingredients on the label. Unfortunately, last night (on the home stretch) I think I mucked it up.
Yesterday evening I had to go out to a large group business dinner, you see, in my line of work so much gets done around the breakfast/lunch/dinner table. While I was being mindful of not eating anything I knew would break the rules (e.g., bread, beer) I still can't be sure that the mind-blowing, delicious meal I consumed didn't include any overly processed ingredients (see: housemade bacon, the fête de la mer plate, edamame, 6 oz of filet mignon, risotto tater tots, charred broccoli and brussel sprouts in some divine sauce).
That being said, I'm not giving myself full credit for this box of our challenge, but the month is young and I'm determined to check this goal off the list. Hindsight is 20/20, and next time, I'll start this challenge during a week where I can prepare all my meals myself for a few days and know exactly what I'm getting.
